Cashton Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast Home > Find a B&B > By City > CashtonThe village of Cashton and the townships that surround it are gateways to one of the largest Amish communities in the nation. Over 300 families have made their homes in the area since the first Amish settlers arrived in 1966. The quiet, simple life of the Amish has long intrigued the English, as non-Amish are called, as have their old-world skills that result in colorful quilts, handcrafted furniture, and tempting candies. Located at the junction of State Highways 33 and 27, Cashton was named after William Henry Cash, landowner who built the railroad in the town. German and Irish ancestry residents paint the slower pace of life that so many hold dear here. The charm of the small town offers unique specialty shops, variety of casual and fine dining, and lodging choices from in-town to countryside. Visitors can experience the Amish lifestyle by touring a diversified selection of shops for crafts, jams and jellies, and all types of handwork throughout the hills and valleys of the Cashton area.
